New Deal Skateboards: Revolution, History, and Unique Style
Only a few brands in skateboarding history symbolize an era, and even fewer have marked the transition from one historical period to another. New Deal Skateboards is the milestone that represents the shift between the '80s and '90s—a monumental turning point that initiated the transformation of skateboarding into what we know today.
New Deal ushered in a new era, founded by three super legends of American skateboarding: Paul Schmitt, Andy Howell, and Steve Douglas. Their brand brought together skaters of the caliber of Ron Knigge, Chris Hall, Rick Ibaseta, Mike Vallely, Justin Girard, and many others, setting the trend for the new era of skateboarding.
The brand revolutionized the skate business of the early '90s by introducing innovative shapes and graphics to the market. New Deal's constant innovation has always been about creating boards and shapes that differ from the standards, giving the team skaters the opportunity to unleash incredible new tricks and continually improve.
Today, New Deal delights us with the historic reissues of boards that made history from 1990 to 1992. These iconic boards feature pro skaters like Andy Howell, Steve Douglas, Andrew Morrison, Danny Sargent, and Ed Templeton. Additionally, they collaborate on boards with fantastic partnerships and highly sought-after continuous reissues.
